Tongue Man.....Picture to follow

Maxime has learned to stick his tongue out, its too funny. I'll get a picture hopefully, but currently he hides it when the camera comes out! He also has graduated to the "neglect-a-saucer" as my friend Robin calls it ha ha (excer-saucer). He is getting better at sitting up and can almost roll over (Winston and Jacky are trying to help!)

Red Wing Fans!

Maxime is now 4 months old:)

It's been far to long since I last updated the blog! Soon Eric will be able to take back his post and updates will be more regular! Maxime was 4 months old on Nov 26/07 and he is growing fast! At his Dr. apt. last week he weighed in at a whooping 15 lbs! He is almost double his birth weight. He was 61 cm long and has dropped a bit in his height/length percentile, from 92% to 74%, but he's still a big boy! He fits into 9-12 month clothing now, hard to believe he use to be sooo small! He is very talkative and is really beginning to grab and suck at anything he can reach:) He loves the dogs and now pays notice to them and smiles at them. He will begin Starfish swimming lessons in January so he can get accustomed to the water. Maxime doing a bit of traveling this past weekend to the "One of a Kind Craft show" in Toronto with Gramma Merry and Aunt Julia. He was so great to travel with, never even cried, except when the car got dark! He is a wonderful baby, happy and healthy! Eric and I just soak up his cuteness everyday and feel very lucky to have him. Soon Christmas will be here and Maxime can see all his cousins again! Till next time.....

Maxime at his Second Wedding

Most people have only been to a few weddings in their lifetimes, well... Maxime has been to 2, before he is was three months old! I don't know where he gets his social abilities from?? Here are some pictures of Maxime in the Church and Chantal and Jeff, what a beautiful bride!! We forgot to get a family shot, duh! Maxime is also developing fast! He is now grabbing objects and bringing them to his mouth. He also is beginning to use his legs, tries to stand while on our laps. He is a charmer, smiling at anyone who pays him notice! I am not sure how much he weighs but he must be close to 14lbs by now. He will be Baptized this weekend on Wolfe Island, the same parish we were married in, pictures to follow:)

Homecoming

Eric and Julie had fun this year fighting the crowd on Aberdeen Street a few weekends back. They saw 6 cops bring down a guy, COOL! Here is their traditional snapshot.

Its Homecoming!

Traditionally Eric loves this weekend being the Queens grad he is. He and his pal Julie (also a Queens grad) will be heading out to the Football game today, Queens Gales against the Waterloo Warriors. Then its the victory or loser walk back from Richardson stadium. Then dinner, drinking and down to Aberdeen street! Will give updates! Here is a shot from last year......
Have Fun Guys:)

My Bee Hat

Here is a snapshot of Maxime asleep in his rocker chair after a trip outdoors to help Mom work on some chores. It got chilly out so Maxime is sporting a hat which was given to him by Susan, a colleague of Eric's at RMC. It is an adorable hat!

Gramma Merry and Maxime

Maxime and Grampa Merry

More on Maxime...Live from Alfred Street

I am temporarily taking charge of the Blog postings (Michelle's suggestion:)because Eric is running from job to job this fall, working at St. Lawrence and RMC, he's a trooper and he is working very hard, we love and appreciate all your efforts! So....Maxime had his 2 month needles yesterday. He was great after, no fussy mussy or fevers. It was probably worse for me to see him get the needles than for him to get them. He had 2; one for the regular vaccinations such as Diphtheria and Mumps... the other one was for ear infections, blood infections, meningitis and the flu. Also he weighed in at a very respectable 12lbs and 1 oz, (it sounds like he's a bass at a Wolfe Island fishing derby, he'd definately be a first prize winner!) He also grew 3 inches since birth, now 24 inches and his head circumference is 5 cm (now 58cm) bigger, so in other words he's growing:)He is 92 percentile for length, 72 for weight and 50 for head size. So he is doing wonderfully and continues to laugh, smile and is now starting to notice dangling toys and likes to occupy himself with this fun new discovery. The dogs and cat are also doing well. Winston looks for Maxime when we come home and let him out and Jack likes to be near him, keeping a close tab on him, it is very cute to see! The cat can't be bothered, she just wants her food and an open door to the wilderness in the back yard. The whole family is just about adjusted to the little prince Maxime:)

Maxime is 8 weeks!

HI All
Maxime is growing fast, he has a Dr. apt. tomorrow (Thursday Sept 27/07) for his first set of needles (done at the 2 month mark). I will update the blog with a weight, but I am guessing he is close to 12lbs because 3 weeks ago he weighed 10lbs and 8 oz. He is very alert now, focusing on everything with great intent! We have stared to look at simple books with large patterns, colors and shapes, and he will look at them for about 10 minutes. He is also starting to read "les livres Francaise", (French books for those non-French):) He is enjoying his wakeful times, now starting to giggle frequently, of course his parents are quite funny, or funny looking !??
My Mom thinks he is playing strange already, normally this occurs at 6 and 9 months, as he generally seems to want "Mommy" to hold him and cries when anyone else does. Some say I am spoiling him but research states you can't spoil a baby under 6 months and you have to attend to their crying.... so for all you skeptics out there, look it up:)
In summary: he is a great baby, not much crying and very content, we are super lucky!! Oh yes and he is also very handsome!

First week of classes is DUN! D-U-N!

So, Erin and I took that CBC Test the Nation test last night that focussed on the English language. It's not surprising to me that I did not receive a stellar score. I score 48/70. 69%. Yucko. I guess I have read more and play more words games to improve myself in this area. Luckily I have MS-Word spell check to save my bacon regularly hee hee. What did you get on the test? If you want to take it you can find it here: http://www.cbc.ca/testthenation/

So I had to put a spelling mistake in the title of this posting to remind myself to read the dictionary more HAHA! Firsst week of class at SLC is under the belt. YEAH! Second week starts today.

NEWS: Maxime now weighs 10lbs 6oz as of last Thursday! YEAH!

Smiling

HI Everyone
Maxime is now smiling (and its definately not gas). He loves songs and any type of direct attention, there are traces of Merry in him, ha ha. He is also getting use to a nighttime routine, last night he slept for 7 hours, not sure I should have let him go that long without food....? But he'll make up for it with some future marathon feeds:)
Hope to see everybody soon!

Maxime is doing great!

Mommy and Daddy are getting used to their new life with their new munchkin Maxime. He's doing really well. More pictures will be available as soon as people stop visiting long enough for everyone to catch their breath HAHA! Last Monday Maxime weighed 9lbs 1oz at his checkup. YEAH! He's getting bigger! Hugs and kisses to everyone. Take care. -Eric

Congratulations to Maxime who weighed in today at 8lbs 1oz during his doctor's appointment. He has now surpassed his birth weight of 8lbs. YEAH! (*grin*)

Maxime is born!!!

It's a boy! 8lbs even. 53 cm long with a head circumference of 35 cm. Born 27 minutes after midnight on July 26th, 2007. Maxime George Raymond Tremblay. He's perfectly happy and healthy, and he's busy enjoying his new world.

Erin is doing really great. About 24 hours after her c-section, she
stopped taking her narcotic analgesics (morphine) because the pain is
more manageable now. Sleep deprivation is setting in but that's a small price to pay for this little cute baby. Little Maxime is doing equally well. He's
working hard to learn how to breast feed with Erin's help. He's very
cute and now weighs about 7lbs 5 oz down from 8lbs when he was
born. Erin is healing very well and after a total of 5 days in the hospital (since 4pm on Tuesday July 24th), the obstetrics team discharged both Maxime and Erin at noon on Saturday July 28th.

We're back home now and we're trying to settle into a routine and we're trying to get as much sleep as we can.

Want to help us? You can help us by not calling the house for the first few days. Erin is trying hard to sleep when the baby sleeps and minimizing the phone ringing will really help. Thank you all.

Now for what you've been waiting for..... see more pictures of Maxime on my Flickr account. http://www.flickr.com/photos/actionhamster/sets/72157601063713549/

We're back home

News! Back from the hospital. Water is officially broken. No contractions yet. We will relax at home until contractions kick in and are 5 mins apart. If nothing happens before 4pm... we are asked to go in for a routine check on baby heart rate and cervix dilation at that time. Then go back home. If nothing happens today at all, induction tomorrow morning. The baby will be here by tomorrow! YEAH!

The water has broken!

6am Tuesday! The water has broken. No contractions yet. Stay tuned for updates. No phone calls please. Leave a comment if you want HAHA

Sad.

The Red Wings have been eliminated from the 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Very Sad. They had a great run this year: finishing 2nd in the regular season and in the top 4 in the playoffs. Congrats to the Red Wings on an excellent year. See you next October!!! I can't wait!

Cruising the St. Lawrence

Erin and I have been officially 'shaked down'! We joined the friends, family and crew of the Canadian Empress of the St. Lawrence Cruise Lines on their 'shake down' cruise in preparation for their busy season on the river. It was soooo fun!

The theme this year was 'Lil Abner and Dogpatch. Now I'm old, but not that old. So I had no clue what this Dogpatch cartoon was. After some research (i.e. reading Wikipedia), I learned that it's kind of a hillbilly world. So... dressing up was EASY! Ken, Julie, Erin and I hit Value Village Friday night for a pee-your pants good time getting costumes. I scored some women's overalls, a straw hat and some huge pimpin' sun glasses that are so big they fit over my regular glasses hahaha! With this we were all set to board the boat Saturday afternoon for our 24 hours of fun!

We installed ourselves into our very cute suite on the boat - Rm #16. (Pictures will be coming shortly.) And then made our way to the opening ceremonies. After some time up on the deck socializing, the Grand Salon was open for dinner. We started off with a very yummy Prime Rib dinner. Afterwards the fun began. Everyone retired to their rooms to gear up their costumes for the Sadie Hawkins dance. (It's ok if you don't know what that means... because I had to look it up too.) Basically, it's a dance where the girls ask the boys to dance. Cute! Keeping with the theme, both Julie and Erin presented Ken and I some lovely plastic flowers that were taped onto our wrists with electrical tape. How sweet and how appropriate! HAHA! We danced the night away to country folks song with the live band: The Ozark Boys. Half way through the night a surprise Red Wings cake came my way courtsey of Tracy and Seb! HOW AWESOME! The entire ship sang happy birthday to me HAHA. So after filling our face with cake and dancing some more, we closed the bar on the ship at 1:30am. (Erin's a good sport for staying up so late without any alcohol to influence her decision HAHA)

The next day it was time for a delicious omelette for breakfast. We then disembarked in Rockport and bussed to the St. Lawrence National Park where we had a guided tour of a gunboat wreck that dated back to 1817. This gunboat was the last military boat made in the Kingston Dockyards. It was pretty impressive to see such a unique artifact. Afterwards, back to the ship. The sun was beaming and we took advantage of the beautiful weather to spend some time up top on the deck. Tony and I challenged Scott and Marwan to a game of shuffleboard and despite the fact that it was neck and next half way through the game, Tony and I won by a score of 132 to 67. Lucky! Unfortunately, we hadn't bet anything on the game.... so there were no spoils to the winner HAHA!

Lunch was next.... very yummy lentil soup, baked chicken thighs, and baby red potatoes.... and ice cream and thickened syrup for desert. YUM! We had some more time sunning up on the deck while the ship made it's way to our home port. Once we arrived it was time fro the closing ceremonies, which included a piano assisted sing-a-long about the life and times of Jubilation T. Cornpone (again... you've got to look it up!), we disembarked and said fairwell to our friends at the docks.

It was really fun! Cross your fingers that Erin and I get invited back next year. It was definitely a fun adventure!

End of Season Floor Hockey Party

Well, I was sick Thursday night and I couldn't help my floor hockey team in the league finals. SUCKS! However, despite my absence they won their game by close score of 7-6. NICE JOB!

To celebrate, we had the end-of season party on Saturday night. It was a wild and crazy affair. Dubbed the SHOTTUB Party. It included 17 people, 122 shooters, 3 cases of beer, 3 bottles of wine, various pub grub yummies and one beautiful hottub! Details can't be revealed on this blog. What happens at the shottub party, stays at the shottub party HAHA!

Some pictures can be found on Facebook though (*grin*)

I've been sick!

Holy smokes. For the last 8 days i've been friggin' sick. Bad cold. It's still hanging around today (although I am on the up-swing!). Ugh. When will it end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many updates, so little time!

The last few days have been jammed packed with fun stuff. In reverse chronological order... here goes.

Monday: WOW! The Juncos are here! The Juncos are here! Last year I saw my first Dark Eyed Junco in my backyard on April 9th. This year it's on March 26th. Fully 2 weeks early. Holy Global Warming! YIKES! I spotted 5 Juncos today in my garden. Super cute!

Sunday: Awesome Frontenacs Playoff Game. Erin and I joined 3,100+ of out closest friends to take in the Frontenacs lose their second straight playoff game to Oshawa. It was an exciting game that I would ave paid double to see. It was a 'barn-burner' with a final score of 7-6 for Oshawa with the wining goal scored 6 minutes into Overtime. The Fronts dominated the first two period and after 2period the score was 6-2 Frontenacs. (It could have been 8-2 as the Fronts hit a cross bar and a post on two shots in the second). But for some reason the Frontenacs stopped attacking in the 3rd period and it was all Oshawa. They clawed back and scored 4 un-answered goals. Wow! Impressive. A very exciting overtime finish left the home team pretty dejected I can imagine. They've really dug themselves a hole now. Down 2 in a best of 7. Cross you fingers that they can stage a comeback.

Saturday: Maple Madness and Movie Night! In the morning, Julie, Ken, Terry, Michelle and the kids joined Erin and I for some Maple Madness at the Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area. We took the puppy dogs for the 2x 2.5 kilometer walk and they got super-muddy. Good times when couple with a round of very yummy pancakes! (*YUM YUM *) I'm a sucker for maple syrup. Saturday night was Movie Night. Erin and I saw Office Space and the Departed. Both excellent. I recommend them both.

Friday Night: Wii at Siobhan's and Cory. In a word: AWESOME! We had a great time with Tiff, Wayne, Wendy and Jen. (Jen had to leave a bit early... she wasn't feeling 100%). Not only did Siobhan and Cory make a fantabulous dinner but the entertainment was very, very.... I mean very FUN! Nintendo Wii. If you haven't heard about it then Google it. It's awesome. We played Golf, Bowling, Tennis and by the end of it I was totally drunk and sweating from all exercise I was getting from jumping around. The next day I felt like buying one... it is totally FUN! I guess I'll save my money for one someday HAHA

David Usher in Concert!

The Joy Luck Supper Club hosted David Usher in concert last night. It was quite the intimate affair with both David's parents being there as well. Great concert as usual and it was fun to hang out with Jen and Tony. (Two pregnant ladies at a concert! CrAzY!) Jen's a huge fan David Usher fan too! Erin and I bought the new CD. Can't wait to listen to the whole thing.

Hot Off the Presses!

St. Patrick's Day at the Toucan was a HUGE success. 11 people began the marathon at 10am and most made through all day. Erin and I packed it in at 5:30pm. 7 and a half hours at the Toucan: that's a good days work! For me the highlight of the day was Jimmy Zackos and his Voodoo Doll! Tooo funny. You had to be there. Awesome good time!

St. Patty's at the Toucan: BE THERE!

St. Patrick's Day this year lands on a Saturday and is shapping up to be an AMAZING time. See you all there!!!

Kingston Canadian Film Festival

We caught four films at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival over the weekend. As usual they rocked!

The Shorts Package: included 9 short films that were really entertaining. Especially the Danish Poet. I can see why it won an academy award. Awesome. A+

Fido: The best time I ever had watching blood and gore! It's being released in theatres accross Canada this week. Funny Stuff! Very Funny! Three Thumbs Up. A+

Snow Cake: Excellent film about an autistic woman. Sygourney Weaver and Alan Rickman were perfect together. In a word: Dazlious! A+

The White Planet: Documentary about the North Pole. Awesome footage but lacked a little on the narative I found. I kept wanting the film to talk about global warming and it's impact on the arctic. They did touch upon the subject but it seemed like an afterthought. B+

This festival is great! We go every year.

UFC at Seb & Tracey's

We had a really fun night last night at a UFC party at Seb & Tracey's. Loads of people came you: Rob x2, Michelle, Erin, Eric, Seb, Tracey, Jen, Alex, Glenn, Robyn, Renee, Mike, Christa and Kevin. It was a super fun crowd. It started with beers and snacks, followed by a few rounds of asshole, where 'yours truly', (that would be me...Eric) went from Asshole to President at a table with 8 people in 5 hands! NICE! I still got it baby HAHA!

And then the fights came on, people only took breaks from the TV to do shooters with Rob who's a master-shooter-maker. I was impressed with Seb and the flaming sambucas too. The fire alarm almost went off but that's ok... it was worth it HAHA!

Of course some Ultimate Drinking took place too. By the end of the night some people where feeling no pain. (**giggle**)

TremblayBaby-02Mar07-20wks-3D-Head

Erin has her 20 week ultrasound today and it went really well. Heart rate is 150 bpm. Everything looked really good. The technician had a chance to run a 3D image of the face for us. The baby is so cute holding his/her hand up to his/her chin like that. I call him/her "The Thinker" HAHA! Thanks to Michelle for coming with us this morning.

The baby is getting bigger!!!!!!!!!!!!

We tied! What a close game!

With half our team present, we hussled like crazy and managed a tie against the 2nd place team in the league. 7-7 ... NICE! Glenn played awesome in goal even though he didn't even have a glove! Wild! Maybe that's the key to his success. I even scored the game tieing goal... off a beautiful pass from Mike. Two games in a row that I score. Lucky ;-)

Eric's Celebrity Look Alikes

Well, I took two photos of me and ran them through a celebrity look alike face recognition program. The only person appearing on both profiles is Wayne Knight. Looks like I'm Newman from Seinfeld. JOY!

I scored a goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well... let me preface this post with the fact that this season in floor hockey the men have decided to play either as a forward or as defense instead of playing all over the court. So last year, I scored goals fairly regularly but this season I am a defenceman so I am barely getting any shots on goal. Well, last night in the second game of our double header I had a breakaway from center and went in on the goalie and scored in the 5 hole on my backhand. Wow! Was I lucky! That's my first goal of the season! Unfortunately, we ended up losing both games: 5-2 and 5-4. The second game I thought we carried the play and deserved to win. Bad luck I guess. So after last night's results we are now solidly placed in last place in the league. Nice! ;-)

Birthday Cards - World Records!

I heard about this yesterday on the radio and after a quick Google search found more information. Shane is a seven year old boy at CHEO hospital in Ottawa who is fighting cancer. He has been there for a year now. His one wish is to receive the "most ever" birthday cards for his next birthday, which is on May 30th, so he can set a World Record.

This will take very little of your time and will make a big impact on one little boy. Send Shane a birthday card to:

Shane Bernier
Po Box 484
Lancaster Ontario
Canada
K0C 1NO

Here is his profile.

Name: Shane
Age: 7
Diagnosis: A.L.L. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Likes: all sports, building things, video games
Dislikes: being in the hospital for long periods of time
Favorite thing in the whole world: Lego

At almost 5 years old Shane was diagnosed with A.L.L. After 1 month into the treatment he was in early remission, meaning there were no cancer cells in his blood. Shane's family was very pleased with the early results, but his protocol called for 130 weeks of treatment. Then on July 6th, 2006 Shane relapsed after completing 108 of the 130 weeks. It was a shock to everyone including his doctors. Shane may have to undergo a bone marrow transplant down the road, but the good thing is that his brother Jacob is a match. Presently, there is no sign of cancer in Shane's system since relapsing.

Vote for the Environment!

David Suzuki was on the Rick Mercer Report yesterday and he mentioned that you can 'vote for the environment' on his website (http://www.davidsuzuki.org/tour/)and send a message to the Prime Minister and the leaders of the major political parties of Canada. I went and voted today. It's interesting to note that over 45,000 people have voted so far. So go ahead and vote! It's for a good cause: The Earth!

Happy Birthday Winston

Wohooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Winston is one year old today! YEAH!

Great game last night

Great floor hockey game last night despite being on the losing end by a score of 7-4. We were tied at half-time 3-3 so our hopes were up for the 2nd half. Unfortunately, they out hussled us in the second half and came away with the win. We played well in general and two standouts were Mark and Kevin. Both played really well. Kudos boys.

Big Al is my Hero!

In more ways then one.... but last night it was because of his willingness to buy Jen poutine at the Frontenacs hockey game. Jen couldn't finish her poutine so she offered it to Erin and me. Well, approximately 6 seconds later it was GONE. !!!Yummy gravy+cheese!!! Yum! Ok... well... hmm.... can you tell I am hungry while I am writing this posting? (*grin*)

Thanks to Michelle for organizing a great night out last night. Fronts over the 67s 4-1. Yeah! 16 people came out to the game: Mark, Tracey, Erin, Me, Jen, Alex, Glen, Rob, Kevin, Jen#2, Michelle, Marie-Claire, Noel, Margaret, Gabrielle, Georgia. Did I forget anyone? If so, let me know.

FebFeb-tastic!

I had a great FebFest weekend, despite Erin not being in town for most of it... boohoo. Friday night an outdoor concert with my on my favorite Canadian bands: The Trews. The set up a big heated stage between the bank of Montreal and the Keg right down in market square. The show was opened by BullMoose from Montreal and then The Trews rocked market square for over an hour and half a half. Despite the -15 degree weather they didn't let up. In fact half way through the concert they were working so hard you could see the steam coming off the top of their heads! I talked to the base player Jack the next day and he said the heaters on stage worked really well so his fingers stayed thawed the whole time. Impressive! (*smile*)

Saturday was the Limestone Classic. Mark, Kevin, Jen, Michelle (and only 3 kids... Gabriel was at a sleepover!) and I braved the cold in the bleachers to take part of the sights and sounds of ex-NHLers panting heavily on the new ice-rink in market square. Needless to say, it certainly lived up to my expectations. Kicked off by an appearance by the official Stanley Cup, this year instead of starting the round robin game right away, they had an all-star first game: All NHLers versus the military military hockey team and the final score was 4-4. Nice! Oh, I forgot to mention there was a fun addition to the ranks of hockey stars this year: GIRLS! Yup...we had girl hockey stats: Jayna Hefford, Vicky Sunohara from the Gold Medal Winning Olympic team. And joining them was Kathleen Kauth from the Bronze Medal winning USA team. After watching how great this lady skated I think she may have been the best hockey player on the ice the entire day. V.cool! We had yummy foods during the day including breakfast at Morrison's and lunch at the Brew Pub. Noel and I scored K-Rock tuques too. Sweet! And between Friday night and Saturday during the day, my toes almost got frotbite...but I don't even care! Great day weekend all around. Thanks Kingston for FebFest, it sure holds back the February blahs.

GreenMeanies Go Down!

Yes! We have won our 1st official game of this Winter's Floor Hockey season. It was a close one the entire time and we prevailed by the score of 8-7 against the GreenMeanies. We've got the their number this Winter. We've beat them twice. (But our first game against them didn't count as a win for us because it was the 2nd game of our double header.) Yeah! HI all,
I just wanted to gloat and say I am officially graduated with my Master's in Social Work, it only took an extra year more or less. I convocate on May 31/07 which will be a fun long weekend in Montre. A huge thanks to Eric for all his help with Stats, editing talent and support, I could have not finished the last year with out him! He is a "matrimonial treasure" as my advisor Sydney would say :) helping last week with the final last miniute touch ups while I was in Victoria.

Frustrating Loss

Well, I think I experienced the most frustrating floor hockey loss so far. After leading the entire game we lost in the last 90 seconds. Final score 14-13. We're now 0-3. Ugh! Oh well, we're playing the Green Meenies next week. Watch out!!!!!!!!!!!

TremblayBaby-22Jan2007-14weeks

It's official, there is a life in my belly! Today was the first Ultrasound.
Eric, Julie and I saw the little one, it was incredible! Jules even shed a few tears (shh don't tell her I told you, she likes to act all tough but she is a softie when it comes to being an aunt!).
The heartrate was 155(hbm), some non-scientific speculators would say its a boy....
The fetus was 8.5cm long from head to rump/bum not including legs and arms, about 3.4 inches. My placenta is in the front, we saw its hand, well only four fingers. The wee one is 14 weeks and 2 days old and we are due July 21/07. We even got to see its legs running, it was wild! A future runner or skater perhaps, Eric says a future Steve Yzerman! Eric is a proud papa! Here is the picture, kind of skeleton like but beautiful none the less! We are very happy everything is A-OK!

The cat is out of the bag: Erin's pregnant! We've tried to keep this news on the 'down-low' for many weeks but its slowly leaking around. So she's almost at the 12 week mark and we've decided to officially make the announcement. We've started a Tremblay Baby Blog to keep everyone updated on the baby-related news. Stay tuned for more updates!

Eat, Drink and Be Merry!

Friday night we had the Eat, Drink and be Merry floor hockey Kick-Off party! It was really fun. Special thanks to Michelle for hosting it at her place. We did a BYOB potluck and all the food was yummy. The fun activity that we did half way through the evening was to distribute team awards for last season's performances. EAch attendee to the party was given a ballot and could nominate one player for each award category. Here are the winners!

Wayne Gretzky Award (Best Playmaker/Passer) - Kevin
Wonder Woman Award (Best Shot Blocker) - Glenn
Donald Trump Award (Most Penalty Minutes) - Doug
Leonardo DiCaprio (Best Sportsmanship) - Georgia
The Bud Light Award (Best Defenseman) - Melissa
The Toucan Award (Best Nacho Eating/Beer Drinking) - Rob
Gordie Howe Award (Best Elbow) - Mike
Richard Simmons Award (Most Enthusiastic) - Eric
Angelina Jolie Award (Sexiest Ankles) - Rob
Rookie of the Year - Cathy
Tom Cruise Award (Most Ambitious) - Tracey

Congratulations everyone! That party was a great way to kick-off the new season that starts next week.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaack!

We're back from Italy to 'home sweet home' Kingston. We were awake for a grand total of 24 hours on the trip back but we are really glad to get home. Erin and I have taken lots of pictures. Probably somewhere in the neighbourhood of 2,400. Yes. That's not a typo. Between us we took about 2,400 pictures. So it'll take us quite some time to sift through the good ones and get them online. Stay tuned to the blog for an Italian Honeymoon Photography update coming soon. For now, Happy New Year and see you soon!
