Buon Natale e tutti!

Merry christmas everyone. We're reporting in from the beautiful coastal town of Sorrento just a little south east of Naples (a.k.a. Napoli). We're having a wonderful vacation. We're into the second week and we're now on our own after having finished the structured tour. We met some really nice people from places like Australia, Houston Texas, Malaysia, South Affrica, .... there was even a family from Cornwall with their son was from Kingston. Small World! The tour was really fun: Rome, Florence, Venice, and Sienna. We have many nice pictures and when we get back to Canada we'll put them online for everyone. Now we have rented a car.... a sportscar even: Nissan Micra Cabriolet! Erin thinks it's really zippy like a racecar and you need that here with all the nutty drivers that drive on the line and lay on the horn continuously.... Eric can't really appreciate the the awesomness of this car 'cuz he can't drive standard... what a wuss! We've been through Naples, Pompei and Sorrento... the next stops include Positano, Amalfi and Solerno. Then back to Rome for a night before flying back home. We hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season. Leave us a comment below if you have any good news. Ciao-ciao!

I spent a couple of hours adminiring the 2006 Geminid Meteor Shower last night in my backyard. Despite the conditions not being optimal because I'm in the city, I still saw a grad total of 19 meteors in 2 hours. Not bad. Here's a photo of meteor #16. Cool.

Santa-Christine-2007

We did a really fun activity at work this year: Secret Santa. It was 5 days long and every day we had to do little things for our secret person. My Secret Santa was great. Showering me with gifts like a deck of cards, chocolates, even a winning Navada ticket! Yeehhaaa! To divulge their identity on day 5 they sent me a card. Below is the photo that was within the card. It's a picture of Christine (my Secret Santa) and my Dad! She had found him in the Rideau Centre in Ottawa where he was doing his Santa Gig for the kids. This picture really made my day. Thanks Christine! And thanks Dad for keeping this a secret! HAHA!

Floor Hockey Results

We started the Floor Hockey playoofs in 4th place and we finished the playoffs in 4th place! Yeah! That's better than last year when we finished 5th during the regular season and 7th during the playoffs. It's all about improvement isn't it? (*haha*) So we're going to break now and start the new season on Jan 16th. Time to rest the knees and ankles (*smile*)

We lost!

Yup. We did. In the first round of the floor hockey playoffs last night, our team lost to the 1st place team by a score of 8-4. Sad. However, if you look on the bright side... we came into the playoffs 4th and aren't favoured to win any games at all. So, if we win next week then we will finish 3rd! Stay tuned for next week's update and wish us luck!
