Good Morning. Here's the early morning view outside the hotel's 3rd floor balconies. It's a big park with small mountains in the background. 

Here's an orange tree in the hotel courtyard. I wonder if I can eat theses oranges? I'll have to ask. 

On our walk we came across a crew that was transplanting some date palms. What a big job. A crane pulled them up while I small backhow digged and pushed at the base. 

This is the same crew about 1.5 hours later. Where three date palms were early, only the last uprooted one remains!

We're HERE! Here's a couple of photos from our plane trip just prior to landing in Phoenix. Keep in mind I'm shooting them out the window! Crappy quality! The weather is beautiful here! 22oC today! And people are swimming in the outdfoor pool. How cool is that! (no pun intended!) 

Febfest!

The 1st annual Febfest in Kingston was AWESOME! Erin and I saw the first four games of the 3-or-3 hockey tournament. The NHL players were awesome to see up close! Red Wings alumni like Paul Coffey and Wendel Clark in particular! YEAH! Go Wings Go!

Don Cherry was there of course!

The hockey was lots of fun and the crowd was huge, they estimated it at 30,000 people! The mayor committed to sponsoring this event again next year! Right on Big Harv!

Now Erin set us up to volunteer at the dinner later on in the evening for the Girls and Girls Club and it was so fun and exciting because many of the NHL players came to the dinner. It was great to see them up close, to talk to them and they freely gave autographs as well. I personally talked to Dale Hawerchuck, Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark, Joe Cirella and Dave Ellett. Erin got autographs and spoke to Joe Niewendyk, Mike Keane and Kirk Muller as well! Erin was the “autograph bunny” actually. She rocks! We also got a free dinner out of the deal and saw part of the auction. Dinner with at Kirk Muller’s house went for $3,900! Wow!

Overall it was a great day that was capped off by Siobhan’s b-day party…lots of fun despite missing the poker game! Next time organizers have to start the game EARLIER!!!!! HAHA!

Straight A still streaking!

I received great news on the weekend that I scored an A in my last Masters course on Statistics and Ethics in e-Education. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s six courses in a row!!! And that also marks the halfway point of my masters! Six courses down and six to go; it’s all downhill from here (*grin*)

Valentines Days! (or how to score!)

It's no secret... I miss hockey. But I still know the meaning of "He shoots... he scores!" and I did just that Monday night for Valentines Day. I took a really long shot! I decided to make a really nice high class dinner for Erin to celebrate Valentines Day. (Those who know me, know that I almost never cook! I was really going out on a limb here!) I pulled out all the stops I could! Table cloth, linen napkins, white candles and customized "love music" (cheezy but always appreciated!)

The meal I prepared was influenced by Erin's suggestion. She loves seafood pasta so I went with her suggested theme: Shrimp Scallop Scampi over fresh linguini. I rounded it out with a homemade green salad with greek dressing and a lovely Honey and Oat whole wheat bun from Pan Chancho. For desert I picked up something else from Pan Chancho: a strawberry and white chocolate profiterole (that's french for cream puff!) It was awesome! I also served Erin white wine with dinner. It puts her in a good mood (haha).

The flowers on the table were courtesy of her. She surprised me earlier that morning with roses delivered to my work. I was so delighted to receive them. They are so beautiful, with multiple coulours: yellow, red, pink, and the kind with red tips and pink body. Very cool! The girls at work were a little jealous as I was the only girl in the office who got flowers delivered to work on Monday! (*laugh*) Erin is truly a keeper! I'm glad we can do things for each other like that on Valentine's Day.

It was a great day with a great girl! I wouldn't have done anything differently. Well, wait... maybe next year we can get tickets to a Detroit Red Wings game for Valentines Day? They might serve some seafood pasta at the concession stand?!? ... I'll have to look into that! (*evil grin*)

Yeah for Tiff and Wayne!

There was a little fun get together at Tiff & Wayne's new house last night. The place is great!!! We had lots of fun chit-chat and X-box carnage too. Everything said at the get together is IN THE VAULT by me. So you won't read any of it here. However, you can talk to Erin or Jen instead. I found out last night that both their vaults are a little "leaky" (HAHAHAHAHAHA! LOL!) (I'm probably going to get in huge trouble for posting this.... but what the heck...it's funny and I've been working out so I can take the beating!!! Look at these abs!)

Pull over: pooping in the forest is not a bad thing!

Eric's Commentary:
I just want to get this straight for my avid readers (*cough*), pulling over while on a trip and pooping by the road is not anything to be ashamed of! Pooping in your pants, however, is a different story. So kudos to everyone out there that has ever answered the call of nature after pulling the car over!!! It's the only logical choice!

Passport Update!

I received an ExpresPost delivery yesterdays that I picked up today. it was my passport. Everything looks fine in it too. It took exactly 21 working days from the day I mailled in my application via ExpressPost from Kingston to receive my completed Passport back. The Fed Gov't targets 20 working days from the day of receipt, so I would say they lived up to their words pretty accurately! Kudos to the Passport people in Ottawa!

I hate my flatmate!

No....wait....I don't hate my flatmate! Ted's my flatmate and he's pretty cool. Ultra-easy to live with.

But my mom found this cool blog called I Hate My Flatmate which is well worth a peek. It's the hilarious story of why one individual hates his flatmate! The comments are hilarious and numerous too!! I added it to my blogroll on the side bar. Thanks Mom! You're the best! Keep 'em coming!

Follow up on Griffin iTalk

K, I figured it out. I guess the 4G iPod Photo doesn't pass power to the pass through microphone correctly. Strange. So Griffin has to go back to the drawing board on the 3G iTalk because the microphone pass through feature will not work with this particular iPod. I learned this by finding this thread on the iPodLounge site. So I returned the iTalk today for a refund. I guess I have to be patient to see a new accessory developed that can record my voice onto the iPod from a lapel mic.

So, with Erin out of the country, I am having a very BORING Friday evening! But I did figure out how to publish my recently played songs from my iPod/iTunes to the web. Check this link out to see my list! That's cool in a geeky sorta way.

Griffin iTalk

I've been experimenting with the Griffin iTalk for the iPod. It's a neat gadget that aloows your iPod to turn into a voice recorder. So far the experiment has mixed results. The bult in microphone condenser works fine, the speakers is a bit crappy but who cares. What I really want to do it to use the microphone pass through feature to place a microphone on my lapel and to record my voice while I talk. Unfortunately, after trying out two iTalk units, I can't get it to work. All I can record is dead air with an attached external microphone. It's as if the iPod and the ITalk can't recognize that it's a microphone plugged in instead of a set of headphones. Darnit! I'm try to get help on the iPod Lounge forum. More to follow on this as it becomes available.

I shook Jean Beliveau's hand!

Jean Beliveau was in Kingston today to sign autograph. This living legend is on a mini-tour to promote the auctioning of his hockey memorabilia. If you're not sure he's a living legend, you only need to hear one statistic to be convinced: he has 10 Stanley Cup rings! Holy smokes! That's only one shy of the record holder which is Henri Richard: he won 11 Stanley Cups!

Jean Beliveau is the consummate professional even today. Gentlemanly, patient and caring; I estimate he signed more that 500 autographs today and he did every single one with a smile. I thanked him for coming to Kingston. I've got his autographed picture on my wall already. Here's a couple of pics that I took while I was in line.

The most fun you can have jamming your thumb!

Friday night Andra and her newly arived husband Anwar hosted a rocking good time at Myles Acres. I was pleasantly surprised to see RWI in full force when we walked in. Very cool! This band is a lot of fun and I love it when they play the AC/DC! They played Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and the everpopular TNT! I love it. Erin got up and sang a beautiful duet with Jen from the band. They wowwed the crowd with "Mr. Jones" by the Counting Crows! Too cool. Rhonda, Andra and friends put on a beautiful spread of food too. If I would have known, I would have skipped dinner! HAHA!

One of the most fun activities of the night was the sledding! A brave rag-tag band of sledders was assembled at about 10:30pm to hit the slope. And HIT is the opperative word. The hill was a steep and rock ridden! My first trip down the hill, Julie clipped me from the side and I went flying out of Erin's Super Sledder 2000 (or whatever she so cutely calls it!) My second trip down was a 3-some of me, Tony and Erin and it was brutal. The black sled half collapsed going down the hill and we stopped hard, my kidneys complained and my thumb got jammed! Yeah... PARTY INJURY!

At the end of the night, we drove Jen home and tried to get Erin to sleep as soon as we could. She was leaving the next day at 5am to go on her Caribean vacation! She's gone now. I miss her already ;-(

Dismantling the Iron Horse

About three years ago Ted and I made a bet that we would never ever go to the Ironhorse Saloon. I don’t know why we made that bet maybe it was because I was so anti-country music at the time (*evil grin*). But we kept it, we never set foot in Kingston’s largest and only country bar in the last three years.

Now when I heard it was closing I had a little twinge in my heart. This establishment which I had actively avoided for years (I’ve been in K-town for 18 years and had never been there!), was going to be closing its doors. So, I asked Ted if he’d like to break the bet and go to the Ironhorse on its last night. He was into it baby!

So last night we trucked over there… just to spend a short time there since it’s a school night (haha!) Doors opened at 7:30… we were there by 8:30pm. The place was impressively large and impressively full for the early hour. Half-full! It was amazing. The diversity of people that were there was impressive: people of all ages, all body types, all dressed differently, and all with varying quality of teeth (HAHAHA!) Also, there was a surprisingly high number of people wearing cowboy hats. Who knew?!

Angela popped by for a few minutes to say “hi” and I saw a few SLC students that were in my class last semester.

By 9:15pm the band hit the stage: Ambush. And despite them playing country tunes, they rocked and the mountain of girls dancing on the stage with them didn’t hurt their sound either! By this point the bar is PACKED!!! Jam packed and there’s a line up to get in the door. So fans of the IronHorse were certainly seeing it out with style!!!

So, 10pm rolled around and Ted and I shook hands and packed it in as agreed. We’d been to the IronHorse and as we left we felt kind of sad. I felt sad because we weren’t sure where these people would go in the future to have fun. Fun was definitely being had inside that place … that’s for sure and some people will miss the IronHorse a great deal I bet. Where will they go now? Whiskey Willy’s? Yikes!!!

My iAdventure with my iPod

So, I've been riping music like there's no tomorrow. As of the time of this posting, I have riped about 400 CDs. Holy moly that's lots of CDs! But I'm not done yet! My rough count says I have approximately 200 more CDs to go. Jeez! My CD collection sure has grown over the years!

I bought a 40 Gb IPod Photo and I calculate that I will be able to fit about 833 CDs worth of music on it! So that means I will be able to hold my entire CD collection on this iPod! Sweeeeeeeeeeeet! And the iPod will only be about three quarters full. That's pretty cool! Room to grow!! This is fun!

Summer in January!

What do grass skirts, snow pants, horses, beer and chocolate beavers have in common? If you answered Janice's Birthday Party on Wolfe Island, then you are exactly right!!! The guys all showed up dressed up with Hawaiian Shirts (I had to buy mine…but Alex has a beauty already!) and the girls were treated to some grass skirts and lovely fuzzy sea-shell type bras upon their arrival! Man it was hilarious! The party's central activity involved three rounds on a horse drawn hayride. Now, it was freezing cold (had to be -25oC with the wind chill) and even with my long underwear I was friggin' cold! Needless to say I only survived one of the hay rides. Crazy people like Erin went out for two of them. I think the only person who made it out on all three was a guy related to Frosty the Snowman!

The food on the inside was super yummy! Loaded with snack too! I was especially enamoured with the cheezies in the beginning and the nacho flavoured Doritos in the end. Scary ... now I remember why I don't keep any chips and junk food in the house!!!

RWI played a marathon gig! Three sets! They were lots of fun and they played to the crowd as they usually do. Erin got up and sang as song as usual. The crowd loved it! Fernando by Abba! She had to read the words of the paper but it was still coolan accoustic guitar. One neat music thing that went on as well was in between the second and third set, a guy named John just pulled up to the microphone and sat down with he played three tunes: two from The Who and one from Pink Floyd. And he did an amazing job! I was really impressed!

Another fun part of the night was the impromptu Limbo line and then the strip show by Erin and her brother Chris! One of them took their shirt off! I'll let you imagine who it was!!!

Closer!

Erin and I went to go see the movie Closer on Wednesday. Check out the Yahoo Movies site for the review.

It's a good flick because Erin and I ended up talking about the movie even the next day. Lots of swearing and adult content but it was integral to the movie. The general plot revolved around people wanting other people when their in relationships; constantly chasing love and never finding it for very long. Good movie... I give it an "A" for the thought provoking.

One of the quotes that I loved in this movie by Natalie Portman: "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off... but it’s more fun if you do." Beauty!

I went and had a passport photo taken yesterday because there's a chance I might be travelling in March. The photographer didn't want me to wear my glasses in the photo. So here's my mug shot without glasses and without any smiling! What do you think? Serial killer or what?

New Years Eve was .... SWEET!

Some of you know that Erin and I were headed for Isaiah Tubbs resort in Picton for New Years Eve. It was wonderful! Everything was perfect!

We arrived at about 3:30pm-ish after a great drive. Check in was flawless and we unloaded the stuff from our car directly into the side door of our beautiful suite. We had the Honeymoon Suite! It was two rooms. The first room had a King Size Bed, a TV, fridge, coffee maker, entertainment unit with DVD player (we didn't bring a movie but next time we will!), and a wonderful gas fireplace! The second room was a sitting room of sorts, with one entire wall of windows. It had a pull out couch and another large TV. It also had a big closet in it. The bathroom of course was HUGE! Including a big Jacuzzi tub! FUN!

We had to jump in the tub immediately before heading to dinner! Once we were all cleaned up and dressed up we headed over to the restaurant. And boy were we impressed by dinner! It was a buffet. But not just any ordinary buffet.... it had all kinds of seafood (yum yum), including all you can eat lobster!!! WOW! So we pigged out like crazy! Then by 10pm we rushed off to the big hotel hot tub and for a quick dip in the pool. It was totally fun.... we were the only ones there because despite the fact that we were there after 10.... the pool and hottub closes at 10pm!!! (*giggle*) If we would have been caught, I would have said that Erin made me do it HAHAHAHA We headed back to our room to prepare to celebrate the arrival of New Years. We celebrated in style with chocolate covered strawberries that I had made the night before. Yummalicious! And Erin had her brand new Red "New Years Eve" jammies with snow flakes on... too cute! It was a great New Years Eve... marking our 3 month anniversary as well! Yeah for us!

The next day we slept in, had another Jacuzzi bath and then hit the New Year Day breakfast buffet. Stupendous! Everything you could ask for in a breakfast.... including the obligatory Pecan Pie from last night! YUM! My poor waist line (*frown*)

At 3pm we had the Sleigh Ride with a pair of beautiful Belgian horses. Nice! See the pic above of me with King, one of the horses.

After the sleight ride we had some yummy hot chocolate in the bar and talked to some of our neighbours. We capped it off with a game of pool. (Jen would be proud as Erin won! Girl Power!!!) Afterwards, we went back to the room to uncork a bottle of vino in preparation for tonight's dinner reservation for 7:15pm. This dinner was made to order and boy was it yummy. I had an absolutely perfect Filet Mignon! And Erin had some local Ostrich which was to die for!!! YUMMY! Someone had told Erin before we went that the food there is extremely good..... well... now I believe them!!!

After dinner we headed to the room for some quality cuddling.... we had to go to bed early too because we'd need to get up early the next day. We were targeting a check out of 10:30am and a breakfast for 11am. I was barely hungry that morning after all the wonderful food we had on the last two days... but the breakfast was wonderful.... and so was the conversation. Erin and I chatted for more than an hour! She's so great to talk to!

The drive home was moderately eventful. Wicked freezing rain kept our speed down and we stopped in Deseronto where Erin bought some beautiful native art for our house. (*Notice the word *our* in that sentence... yup... she's moving in in April! YEAH for US!*)

So there ya have it. A perfect weekend that I spent with the perfect girl! Erin, thanks for suggesting such a fun way to spend time together! I love you babe!!!!

Juicy Fruit Solved!!!

Ok.... due to popular demand I will now divulge the solution to the Juicy Fruit Mystery!

Ok.... so now for the solution. Here's how it happened.

I came home to Erin's place late the night before the ass-affixed Juicy Fruit was discovered.... and here's your first clue.... I was chewing Juicy Fruit gum!!! Crazy eh?

I was trying to be quiet in her appartment so I quickly sequestered myself to the washroom to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. For those who don't know Erin's apartment, she has a very LOUD fan that auto-annoyingly comes on when you turn on the lights. So I brushed my teeth in the dark, peed in the dark.... and here's the next very important piece of information... I threw away my Juicy Fruit gum into the toilet with a light toss. Well, I have never pretended to be Shaquille O'Neil and as a result I did not get "nothing but net" ... instead I got "everything that was rim." And as most intelligent adults will report, Juicy Fruit gum sticks to toilet seats!

Fast forward to middle of the night when Erin's bladder wakes her with gentle cries of "Erin you gotta pee girl!" Picture it... the half asleep girl installs herself on the toilet seat in the dark, not noticing the almost imperceptible squishing feeling of gum on her butt in her half-asleep state. And then voila! The Juicy Fruit gum is then unknowlingly transported into the bed, later to be found by me several hours into the future during my pseudo-waking state.

So there ya go! The Juicy Fruit mystery has now been solved. Thanks to everyone who postulated solutions to the strange observation! A special gift was promissed to the guess that came closest to the real story. Unfortunately, no close guesses had any meaningful personal identifications or signatures, so in good conscience I cannot issue the very valuable prize. Instead, it will be replaced in the prize vault for our next interactive Blog posting! Stay Tuned!! (*laugh*)

My Dad is great!

I just spent two days of working vacation with my Dad. We had fun working together laying out his new book. And we went to New Garden TWICE! YUM!!!!! Special thanks to Erin for making a beautiful dinner on Tuesday evening. It's was yummalicious!

Doesn't it sound like me and my Dad are focussed on food? It's not too far from the truth hahaha

Thievery Incorporated!

ok... news on my thief! He's been arrested for Fraud (not theft ... darn). Eight months ago he did the same crime and got 90 days in Quinte Detention Centre! So, look for the same here I figure! Yeah! Despite all the damage and loss of contents, I feel somehow happy that he's been arrested. Also, I did recover most of the CDs that were stolen too. The police handed nine of them over to me yesterday.

So, I think this story has come to a conclusion now. Now I have to decide when I should install a new stereo in my car, whether or not I should install an alarm in my house (since I am now paranoid!) and whether or not I should pay $500 to fix the body work on the car. Hmmm.... The $500 seems like such a waste! I could buy an iPod with that!!! (*laugh*)

Merry Christmas Everybody!

I had one of the best Christmas' that I can remember (and for those those know me that's not saying a lot because my memory actually is quite poor... LAUGH!)

I comitted myself to sending three days and two nights on lovely Wolfe Island with the Merry Clan! It started off in style! We hit the Toucan for a couple drinks the afternoon of Christmas Eve and we were late getting into the Ferry lineup! DOH! We walked onto the Ferry and luckily the nice Ferry people took our car over on a later run.

Christmas as the Merry's was fun. We had food. Lots of food. Drinks. Lots of drinks. And Euchre! Lots of Euchre! Mrs. Merry was the card shark I tell ya. Over the two nights she won seven of eight matches!!! I was very fortunate to be her partner for six of her wins! So needless to say I was in the good books this weekend (haha!)

It was really fun hanging out with everyone. Julie impressed me with her culinary skills! The brunch on Christmas Day was awesome! I got to mee John's GF Brooke who was very nice, and I went over to Andy and Catherine's place too. Mackenzie their daughter came out for a walk with Erin and I and we "held the moon"... it was full and awesome looking! That's a special treat!

I had dream accomodations too. I had my own little apartment while I stayed there. Very cool. I enjoyed myself a great deal and everyone made me feel at home. Needless to say, a "thank you" card will be in the mail shortly.

So Christmas was awesome. (I got loads of Red Wings stuff too). Now I'm looking forward to New Years with Erin at Isaiah Tubbs resort in Picton! Fun Fun Fun!

The plot thickens!

I called Chumleighs and they bought three of my stolen CDs last Thursday. A unique combo that would never come into their store together. The Box-The Box (1984), Archive-You all look the same to me (2002) and Led Zeppelin - How the West Was Won 3 cd box set (2003). Turns out they bought 5 cds from the person. The lady at Chumleighs won't tell me the other two titles. Anyway, they got a piece of ID from the seller. They will not release it to me; only to the cops. So I'm in touch with Constable Jeff Dickson on this. I hope it works out for the best and at the very least the result will be that the thief is scared off from targeting my car in the future. More to follow.

The Best April Fool's Day Ever!

April 1st will be a pretty cool day! I'm getting a new roommate that day? Can you guess who? (*grin*)

I'm tired

It's been an eventful few days. Here's a recap in chronological order:

Thursday Morning: wake up to find my car badly damaged! JOY! Once again my car has been broken into by some local losers in search of my stereo and CDs. This time they really did a number on it. They took a crow bar to the front door and damaged the body quite a bit. The same crow bar was used on my power sunroof! DAMMIT! That's going to be expensive to fix!!!! They finaly gave up and went in the easy way: they broke the back window. While ripping out my dash they also damaged some interior electronic wiring because my map lights and dome lights don't work anymore. So, all said and done it's likely going to cost near $1,200 to fix. DOH! I was pretty frustrated that day. I may opt not to get it all fixed though. It's bad timing around christmas to get a bill like this. Special thanks to Scott who helped me garbage bag my back window. Stylish!!!

Thursday night: had my work Christmas party which was pretty fun. It was great to get Erin out and meeting my co-workers and friends. I had lots of fun at the party watching Erika dance up a storm as well. Man she's good! As usual, Erin was beautiful.

Friday morning: had the day off so instead of enjoying it, I spent it running around getting estimates to fix my car. Bleck! Got a parking tickey downtown. Was so frustrated that I locked my keys I the car by accident! (HOLY SMOKES can anything else bad happen to me?) However, I was then delighted to the MAX when I could easily break into my own car by smashing through two layers of plastic bag!!! WHEW! That was fun!!! Crisis averted! (*grin*)

Friday night: drive out to Ottawa with Erin to meet Ted/Patti and my Dad/Louise. We had chicken wings to die for at a restaurant called Local Heroes. Easily the best wings I have ever had in my life! WOW! I will definately go back! Then we hit the Ottawa 67s game. They played Belleville in the best OHL game I have ever seen in my life! Crazy eh? Final score 6-6 with 21 penalties called during the game!!!! It was a high scoring physical match up that sent the 9,000+ in attendance into a frenzy! If you are intersted here's the gamesheet. I was so excited! I really hope the LVEC in Kingston can generate that kind of excitement! Special thanks to Patti & Ted for letting us stay over at their place Friday night! We didn't go to bed until 4:30am!!!! OUCH! Breakfast was yummalicous!

Saturday Afternoon: Drive back from Ottawa after making a run for the Biggest Giant Tiger I have ever seen. I wonder why they don't have one in Kingston? Weird.

Saturday Night: Christmas party at Siobhan's and Cory's. Was lots of fun. I won my very first real-life poker game and took home $50 in winnings. Needless to say, I was dead tired after that night came to it's conclusion. Special thanks to Jen for driving and being the Designated Driver for the evening! You rock baby!

Sunday morning: Two hours of road hockey in -20oC. Need I say more?

Sunday night: fell dead asleep at 10pm. AWESOME!

Betablocka & Weeping Tile

I was at a very fun "all ages" concert that raised money for the Salvation Army last night. Betablokka and Weeping Tile (with Sarah Harmer) headlining. It was a good time. I was especially energized by the awesome encore which included a kick-ass cover of a dance tune by Outkast called "Hey Ya". You know the one I';m talking about. Check out the lyrics here

Juicy Fruit is gonna move you! Win a prize!

Ever roll over in bed, snuggle with your significant other and swear you smell something like Juicy Fruit gum? "No", you say? Well, up until last night I would have been one of the billions of people on the Earth that would have responded in exactly that way.

So, picture it... 7:15am -ish, roll over.... smell Juicy Fruit. First reaction is one of joy.... because you know just as well as I do, the best part of Juicy Fruit is indeed the smell!! So I think to myself... "Ahhhhh... Juicy Fruit is gonna move you" ... you know... the song... in a sort of half-dreaming state. Then I sorta wake up a bit more and mention to Erin that I think I just smelled Juicy Fruit. I chalked it up to a combination of two things:

1. She took a late night bath last night so she probably smells clean and fragrant, and


2. I was dreaming about Juicy Fruit in a half-awake state!

After a couple of minutes, Erin finds the answer to my problem: there a big wad of juicy fruit gum stuck to her ass!!! Boy did we laugh.... it was so hilarious!!!! So after laughing so hard my belly ached we found ourselves in the washroom trying to clean up and trying to piece together the complicated series of events that would make someone wake up in their own bed with Juicy Fruit stuck to their bum?

Operation Rednose!

I had a great time last night volunteering at Operation Rednose with Erika and Darryl. It was a fun filled evening of snow, fish-tailling, anti-lock brakes, and incorrect addresses!!! On top of that there was the "all-you-can-eat" home made sweets table which just did me in! "Toucan for one" afterwards was pretty fun too.

For those who don't know Operation Rednose is a volunteer service that drives people home when they've been drinking. I'll definately do it again!

Eating Plato in the Bed!

I did something super fun last night... I spent an hour with Erin and we read a few pages of Plato's Theaetetus together. Truth be told "she" read it to me. We had a lot of fun discussing and interpreting this Socratic Dialogue.

Now some people are going to read this and think "holy smokes those two people are nerds!" Well, maybe we are... or maybe we aren't... you'll just have to pick up a copy of Theaetetus, snuggle under the covers with your best friend one evening, read it together and decide for yourself!

It's better than eating crackers in the bed... no crumbs!

Erin at da hockey game!

Yup.... she went to the hockey game. And you know.... she saw like 3x more people she knew there than me!!! She's Ms. Social! HAHA! Game was good. Tie game at 4-4. Kingston openned up a 3-1 lead after the first then basically fell asleep the rest of the game. It ended in a 4-4 tie. Brampton almost won it in OT during a 4 on 3 with 1:31 min left in the OT period.... it was like a shooting gallery! Yikes! Spezza did well in net.

Oh... and one little tidbit... Erin's wearing my favourite pants (*giggle*)

And back at Erin's place she was spinning some good tunes! Joydrop even. Do you know how hard it is to find people that like the same music as you? I won the lottery without even buying a ticket. (*grin*) Cool eh?
